I am forunate to have been employed by the Ringwood Public Schools since 2009 and am proud to call Ringwood my professional home. I previously enjoyed serving as case manager / school psychologist in all grade levels across all four schools. I have a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Dickinson College, a Masters of Arts in Educational Psychology, and a Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership, as well as, a School Psychologist Certification, all from Montclair State University. I have also served as adjunct professor at Montclair State University at both the undergraduate and graduate level since 2007. I am committed to see that every child has the opportunity and encouragement to reach his/her full potential. It is a blessing to be able to work in a district with amazing students, a dedicated staff, and supportive families.

I have worked in the Ringwood School District for the past nine years in both the Special Services Department and the Board of Education office. Prior to working for the Ringwood School District, I was an Administrative Assistant in corporations such as ThomasNet.com, Computer Associates, Kingston Technology, Newell Rubbermaid and American Cyanamid. I attended Passaic County Community College and Coastline Community College. In the community, I am a volunteer with organizations through my church and the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey. I am proud to support the students of the Ringwood School District.

I am a certified School Psychologist and member of the National Association of School Psychologists and the New Jersey Association of School Psychologists. I attended Boston University prior to receiving my B.A. in Psychology from Montclair State University (MSU), where I was inducted into Psi Chi, The National Honor Society in Psychology. Prior to completing my graduate school program, I managed an analytical environmental laboratory where I developed effective communication, organization, and leadership skills. I subsequently earned a M.A. in Child/Adolescent Clinical Psychology with a Certification in School Psychology from MSU, where I was inducted into Alpha Epsilon Lambda Honor Society for Graduate and Professional School Students. During my time at MSU, I was a Graduate Assistant where I led research studies in both the Psychology Law Lab and the Parent-Infant Interaction Lab, which focused on child eyewitness testimony and mother-infant play interactions of children with developmental disabilities respectively. I bring with me extensive training and experience in working with children and families in diverse school and community settings, which I garnered from internship assignments in Montclair, Jersey City, and Belleville, NJ. My philosophy in advocating for every student’s continued success is grounded in fostering a collaborative atmosphere between all Child Study Team members, teachers, administrators, and parents.

I have had the pleasure of working in the Ringwood School district since 2008. I have had the opportunity to teach in all four schools. My experience began teaching first grade at Peter Cooper. Throughout the past 9 years I have taught first and third grade at both elementary schools, as well as the enrichment program. My experience then stretched to teach fifth grade at Hewitt School for several years. I hold a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Psychology and a K-5 Elementary Teaching Certificate. While teaching in Ringwood, I went back to complete my Master’s Degree in Education, concentrating on Students with Learning Disabilities where I obtained my Learning Disabled Teachers Consultant Endorsement. I now have the privilege of currently working as the Learning Disabled Teacher Consultant for the Ringwood Public School District.

I am a licensed School Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the pre-school, elementary, intermediate, middle school, and out-of-district academic settings. In addition, I have served the community of Ringwood for more than 10 years as Child Study Team Coordinator coupled with years of experience as an Anti-Bullying Specialist, holding both my MSW and LSW. In the community, I am a member of the Board of Directors at the Center for Family Resources/Head Start for the past two years. I am highly qualified and skilled at developing individual education plans, identifying at risk students, social assessment, parent-teacher consultation, and counseling. I bring a clinical and education perspective to my work with children, adolescents, and families having obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Significant prior training and experience in private practice, mental health clinics, hospital, group home, and court room settings round out my expertise in planning for and facilitating the personal, social, and academic growth of your children. I am truly passionate about and committed to my Child Study Team work, and take great pride in serving as a support/advocate for your child and family within the Department of Special Services, and the Ringwood Public Schools. I have worked for the Ringwood Public Schools since 2007 as a school social worker on the child study team. I am a clinical social worker working with children from pre-school through the 8th grade. I have over 15 years experience working in both the New York City and New Jersey school systems. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in social work. It is my honor to work with the child study team in a school environment with experts in a variety of educational specialties.

I am thrilled to be joining the Ringwood School District as the new School Psychologist at Ryerson Middle School and to fulfill my role as both a case manager and psychologist. I graduated from Montclair State University where I received my M.A. in Child/Adolescent Clinical Psychology as well as a certification in School Psychology. Prior to receiving my Master’s Degree, I received my B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Delaware. My passion for both psychology and education as a whole is evident. I have worked as a teaching assistant in different ABA/Discrete-Trial/General Education classrooms as well as have completed many practicum and externship requirements with children of different cultures, backgrounds, and academic/social-emotional needs. Throughout my training and work experience, I have gained a strong understanding of what children need to succeed in the classroom across different learning environments and circumstances. My philosophy as a case manager and as a school psychologist is to place student growth and success at the forefront of my work and ultimately advocate on behalf of all students. I strongly believe in the power of collaboration and consider the families of my students as integral members of the IEP team and process.
Ms. Jamie Bray - Behaviorist
I am excited to join the Ringwood team in the role of a Behaviorist. I bring over 20 years of experience working with students with various learning and behavioral challenges to the district. I am passionate about helping students, teachers, and families achieve personal goals and find success. I am a certified Elementary (K-8) and Special Education Teacher (N-21) and have had the privilege of teaching, evaluating, and developing plans for students over the past 20 years. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Education, a Master in Education, a certificate as an Infant Specialist and am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. My role as a Behaviorist over the past 8 years has allowed for me to work closely with students, staff, and families in a collaborative, meaningful and open manner. I am honored to be joining the team in Ringwood and look forward to a fantastic school year.
